Bat Flower - Black
They don't like too much heat and air that is too dry. These beautiful flowers grow best in well-drained soil and high humidity. Tacca chantrieri grow wild in the tropical forest in Yunnan Province, China, where they can get as tall as 36". They will flower year around. The Black Bat Flower, 'Tacca chantrieri', is a very unusual species with black bat shaped flowers up to 12" across, and long 'whiskers' that can grow up to 28".
