Geranium - Sanguineum Album

It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders, rock gardens, shade gardens or informal borders in mass plantings. ‘Sanguineum Album’ Geranium needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well-drained site. With its beautiful dark green foliage, it has a plant width of 18-23” and a height of 6-8”. The Geranium ‘Sanguineum Album’, Geranium sanguineum, produces pastel blooms. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant. ‘Sanguineum Album’ Geranium, being drought tolerant, needs a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. Geranium - Southcombe Double The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. There are only a few double-geraniums in cultivation and don't look like a Geranium at first glance. Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade.
