Lantana - Patriot Firewagon

All Lantana's are tough, resilient plants that thrive in hot weather and bloom profusely from spring until frost. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. The Firewagon Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. Lantana is an excellent choice for beds or containers. Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. The Lantana Patriot Firewagon, 'Lantana "Patriot" Firewagon', is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright red, orange and yellow flowers. Some contact with foliage may irritate sensitive skin. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. Plant Lantanas in full sun and well drained soil in either beds or containers. Daisy - Springstar Sirius Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. The Springstar varieties are great for early cropping and all have a compact habit and are early flowering. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The Daisy Springstar Sirius, 'Osteospermum ecklonis', was bred by Kientzler of Germany. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. The deeply cut, dark green leaves are aromatic when bruised.
