Penstemon - Red Rocks
Being drought tolerant, ‘Red Rock’ looks great in a perennial border, in a naturalized setting, in rock gardens or for cuttings. It is best to plant Penstemon in a full sun location, having a moist, well-drained area. The Penstemon ‘Red Rock’, Penstemon x mexicale, has constant small, bright, rich, magenta flowers that bloom all summer long with narrow, lance-shaped evergreen foliage. ‘Red Rock’ has a plant height of 15” and a spread of 12”. Geranium - Pink The Geranium ‘Pink’, Geranium sanguineum, has a rich magenta mallow-like flower that blooms from June untill August. There is a somewhat attraction to bees and butterflies but it is very disease and deer resistant. ‘Pink Geranium’, being drought tolerant, needs a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. A great plant for a beginner gardener. ‘Pink Geranium’ needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well drained site. With its beautiful dark green foliage, it has a plant width of 18-24” and a height of 15”. The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows. |
