Peony - Shawnee Chief
They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. The Peony Shawnee Chief, Paeonia 'Shawnee Chief' has deep red blossoms and is one of the most vigorous growers of all the peonies. It is not uncommon to see peonies planted along the driveway or lane in a mass. Geranium - Rozanne With its beautiful dark green foliage, it has a plant width of 24” and a height of 18”. ‘’Rozanne’ needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant. ‘Rozanne’ Geranium, being drought tolerant, needs a full sun area with some shade in the afternoon. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. For best results, plant in a dry to moist area in a well-drained site. A great plant for a beginner gardener. The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows.
