Petunia - Tidal Wave Silver
Grown in restricted space with support, it will grow an extra 2 to 3 feet upward, like a vine. When given plenty of space, this petunia makes a floriferous groundcover spreading 2. The Tidal Wave Silver Petunia, 'Petunia x hybrida hedgiflora', has a growth habit based on how closely the plants are spaced in the garden. Tidal Wave petunias require no pinching or pruning. The low maintenance qualities and excellent weather tolerance make them well-suited for landscapes and large containers. It also was a Fleuroselect Quality Mark Winner 2003 at the Colorado State University "Best of Show" variety. Place the plants close together and they will get taller. 5 to 3 feet. The flowers are silvery white to very light lavender with dark purple veins. When spaced a minimum of 12 inches apart, it forms a dense, mounded hedge from 16 to 22 inches tall. The Caribbean Red Hot ripens to a beautiful deep red and has the same distinctive taste of the Habanero. The plants grow up to 30 inches tall and the fruit packs mega heat. Plants and fruits are identical to orange habanero only fruits ripen from celery to ruby red. Transplant outside in the spring 3 to 4 weeks after last frost date.
