Sedum - Purple Emperor

Plant with asters or coneflowers for a wonderful autumn display. The Sedum 'Purple Emperor', also known as Stonecrop, has dark purple, almost black leaves with compact purple stems. In the summer, they are topped with heads of pinkish, purple flowers. Sedum 'Purple Emperor' needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and disease resistant. With a plant height of 15” and a spread of 12-23”, it is wonderful in any landscape. Sedum ‘Purple Emperor’ was awarded the Outstanding Perennial Plant Award from the International Hardy Plant Union in 2002. Goldenrod - Goldrush Goldrush comes into the fall with masses of yellow flower clusters that almost block out the foliage for about a month. Place them in well drained soil and fertilize lightly. The Solidgao Goldrush should be planted in full sun and at the front of beds and borders or in containers. Goldrush exhibits a uniform, compact mound of tiny yellow flowers. Too much fertilzer will produce a lot of foliage and fewer flowers.
