Snow in Summer
This easy to grow perennial requires full sun and will grow in dry to moist soils that are well drained. The silvery, mat-forming foliage looks great as a ground cover, in rock walls or between stepping-stones. For a perennial that can be planted anywhere, ‘Snow in Summer’ is the way to go. One should sheer back ‘Snow in Summer’ after flowering to keep it clean and compact and to keep from spreading. ‘Snow in Summer’ has a plant height of 4” with a plant spread of 6-12”. Gaillardia - Kobold ‘Kobold’ blooms from early June through fall with a plant height of 12” and a width of 10-12”. For the perfect site, try planting in sunny borders, dry or windy sites, in mass plantings or in containers. The foliage is a gray-green almost basil like. ‘Kobold Blanket Flower’ will also produce long-lasting cut flowers. Gaillardia will do best in soil that is not too fertile and should not be over watered. The Gaillardia ‘Kobold Blanket Flower’, Gaillardia x Goblin, has wonderful blooms that are red, orange and bright yellow, and are almost daisy like. ‘Kobold Blanket Flowers’ require full sun and well-drained soil.
