Thyme - Mother of Thyme
The Thyme 'Thymus ‘Mother of Thyme’, Thymus serpyllum, is a fast growing evergreen, ground cover with sweet aroma. Pink to purple blossoms appear in the summer, with a plant height of 8” and a spread of 12-24”. It is a favorite to honeybees and has been used in decongestants, as an antiseptic, cough remedy and a digestive aid. ‘Mother of Thyme’ should be planted in full sun, tolerating some morning shade, in a well-drained area. ‘Mother of Thyme’ is perfect for rock gardens, near stones or bricks, or along pathways. Rose Campion - Gardener's World The beautiful blooms last from from June to August. Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border. ‘Gardner’s World’ has a plant height of 24-36” and 10” spread. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. The magenta-red double blooms resemble small carnations. ‘Gardener’s World’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. |
