Viburnum - Northern Burgundy® Arrowwood

It is easily transplanted and can grow 10-12 feet in height and width. It blooms in late June above the glossy, dark green foliage. Northern Burgundy® Arrowwood Viburnum, viburnum dentatum 'Morton', is an upright, rounded, multi-stemmed shrub that displays creamy white flowers. The fall color development is highly dependent on the individual plant; some plants turn yellow; some plants turn red to reddish purple. Northern Burgundy has a spectacular fall color display with clusters of blue-black fruit hanging among the burgundy foliage. Viburnum tend to be multi-season plants with ornamental value throughout a large part of the season. Northern Burgundy is very easy to grow and requires full sun to partial shade with soil that is from dry to fairly wet. The branching is upright and spreading, eventually arching over at the tips. Indigo Bush-False Indigo Flowers are 1/3-inch wide, purple-blue with orange anthers, on 3- to 6-inch upright spikes. This deciduous shrub does well in full sun and poor, sandy soil. Native from Connecticut to Minnesota, south to Louisiana and Florida. This bush attracts butterflies.
